Google says AI Overviews and AI Mode use query fan-out, issuing several related searches for one question. This planner suggests likely sub-questions for a topic using fixed templates, so you can check whether your content covers them. It does not show Google's real fan-out queries, which are not public.

What fan-out is

Google defines query fan-out as “a set of concurrent, related queries generated by the model” and gives an example: a question about lawn weeds may trigger searches for herbicides, chemical-free removal and prevention.[1] AI Mode breaks questions “into subtopics.”[2] ChatGPT also rewrites prompts into one or more targeted searches.[3]

How to use the output

  1. Mark which sub-questions your site already answers well.
  2. Answer missing ones inside the most relevant existing page, or create a page only when the subtopic deserves one.
  3. Check real demand in Search Console queries and your prompt panel.

No. Those aren't public. The planner uses fixed templates for common question patterns.

Where can I see real sub-queries?
