Editorial policy
AEO.wiki pages are researched from primary sources, drafted with the help of AI tools, and reviewed by a person before publication. Every factual claim links to a source with a date where one exists. Evidence labels separate vendor documentation from research and practice. The site carries no ads, affiliate links or tracking.
Source hierarchy
- Vendor documentation: Google Search Central, Bing Webmaster Guidelines, OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and other crawler and help pages.
- Peer-reviewed or methodologically transparent research (for example the GEO paper, Pew Research Center).
- Credible reporting from established outlets, labeled as reporting when a vendor has not confirmed it.
- Industry studies with a stated method and date, with caveats.
We do not cite anonymous claims, screenshots without provenance, or statistics without a traceable source and date.

AI assistance
We use AI tools to help research, organize and draft pages. A person checks every claim against its source, edits the text and decides what is published. AI tools are never cited as sources. This follows Google’s guidance that generative AI can help research and structure original content but should not be used to mass-produce pages without value.[1]
Reviews and updates
Every page shows a “Last reviewed” date. Fast-moving pages (engines, crawlers, structured data) are reviewed at least quarterly and whenever a vendor changes its documentation.
Independence and disclosure
- Published by Local Blitz, which sells SEO and local SEO services. Links to Local Blitz or Simon White sites are disclosed as such.
- No advertising, sponsored content, affiliate links or paid placements. Tools are listed on merit (tools and resources).
- No analytics, cookies or trackers (privacy).
Corrections
Report errors through the contact page with a link to a primary source. Substantive corrections are made promptly and reflected in the page’s review date.
